Price Gouging Statute in Effect
Along with a burn ban issued on April 22, 2026, Governor Brian Kemp issued a State of Emergency for Georgia Wildfires for 91 Georgia counties, making state resources available to local governments and entities within the area most impacted by the wildfires. The emergency declaration took effect on April 22, 2026, and will remain in place until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026.
