FAQ for MV Realty Customers in Georgia

  • 1. MV Realty charged me an early termination fee for ending my contract with them before the 40 years were up. Will the fee I paid be refunded to me?

    MV Realty is required to pay $1,000,000 in restitution to Georgia consumers. Consumers who paid early termination fees will receive a portion of the fee paid in restitution from Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr’s Consumer Protection Division.

  • 2. Do I need to file a claim to get a refund or relief under this order?

    No. There is no claim form and nothing you need to do to receive relief under this order. 

  • 3. There was a lien on my home from an MV Realty Memorandum of Homeowner Benefit Agreement. Has it be removed?

    Yes. MV Realty was ordered to terminate all Memorandums of Homeowner Benefit Agreement in Georgia.

  • 4. Is there anything else I should know about this settlement?

    MV Realty is prohibited from operating in Georgia and from trying to collect any money from Georgia consumers. 

     

  • 5. What should I do if I do not receive a refund or other relief from MV Realty?

    If you do not receive the relief you are entitled to under this order, you can contact Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr’s Consumer Protection Division at consumer.ga.gov or by calling (404) 651-8600.
