Kosher Food
Beginning July 1, 2010, businesses that sell or serve unpackaged Kosher food products (or Kosher food products packaged by the business at the business’ location) must complete and post a disclosure statement identifying the basis for the representation that the products are Kosher (see O.C.G.A. § 10-1-393.11). The disclosure statement must be posted in a conspicuous location visible to all consumers. The information in the statement must be kept current; any changes must be reflected on the statement within 14 days.
If the disclosure statement is not posted as required by law, your business will be in violation of the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act. This could result in the imposition of significant civil penalties.
